Fair Air Solutions
Family-owned, 900+ five-star reviews, Florida-licensed. Honest assessment first — we replace only the ductwork that has actually failed, and we'll tell you when a cleaning is the honest fix.
Duct replacement has a trust problem in both directions: companies that sell full replacements to homeowners who only needed a cleaning, and cleaners who happily clean ductwork that is torn, crushed, or falling apart — taking money for a job that cannot work. Both waste your money.
Our rule is simple, and we put it in writing: the duct material decides. If the duct is sound, cleaning is the right service — and we'll recommend it even though replacement pays more. If the duct itself has failed, we'll show you the damage and quote replacing only what has failed. Not sure which side your ducts are on? Our guide replace your ducts or clean them? walks through the signs.
Flex duct stepped on or crushed in the attic strangles airflow to whole rooms. The duct's shape is gone — cleaning cannot restore it.
Chewed and torn ductwork leaks cooled air into the attic and pulls attic air into the system. Damaged sections need to be replaced, not cleaned.
On older flex duct, the inner liner tears and peels away and the insulation breaks down. The material itself is failing — a common finding in South Florida homes with original ductwork.
Older metal ductwork in humid or coastal homes can corrode through. Once the metal is compromised, cleaning and patching are stopgaps.
Some homes were built — or remodeled — with ducts too small or routed badly for the system they serve. Rooms that have never cooled evenly are often a duct design problem, not an equipment problem.
If ducts were properly cleaned and weak airflow or musty symptoms persist because the duct itself is damaged, the duct is the cause. At that point replacement is the fix that actually finishes the job.
We inspect your ductwork section by section and show you the condition on the spot, and mark exactly which runs have failed — and which are sound.
Full or partial scope in writing before any work begins. If cleaning is the right fix instead, the quote will be for a cleaning.
New runs sized and routed correctly, joints sealed, old failed material hauled out, and airflow verified at the vents before we finish.
We are family-owned and operated, Florida-licensed (CAC1824294), and open seven days a week, 7 AM to 8 PM, across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The same company that cleans your ducts can replace the runs that need it — one team that already knows your home's system.
Because cleaning is where we started, we have no reason to oversell replacement: most ducts we inspect get cleaned, not replaced. When we do recommend replacement, you'll see exactly why, right in your own system — and the quote covers only the runs that failed. And if the real problem turns out to be the equipment instead, our AC repair team will tell you that.
It comes down to the condition of the duct material. Dirt inside sound ductwork is a cleaning job. Crushed, torn, pest-damaged, or deteriorated ductwork is a replacement job — cleaning can't restore a duct that has physically failed. We inspect first and show you what we find; our recommendation follows the condition of your ducts, not the bigger ticket.
Yes — partial replacement is common and often all that's needed. Attics frequently have a few failed runs among sound ones. We mark exactly which sections have failed, quote just those, and leave sound ductwork in place.
Crushed or collapsed flex duct, tears and pest damage, an inner liner that has delaminated or fallen apart, rusted-through metal duct, and ducts that were sized or routed wrong from the start. Cleaning removes what's inside the duct; it can't repair the duct itself.
It depends on how much ductwork is being replaced and on your attic's access. Your written quote — given after the inspection — states the scope and the expected timeline before any work begins, so there are no surprises mid-job.
If the cause is in the ducts — undersized runs, crushed sections, leaks, or poor layout — yes: correctly sized, sealed ductwork is exactly the fix. If the cause turns out to be the equipment instead, we'll tell you that, and our AC repair team can quote the actual problem.
We remove the failed sections we replace and haul the old material out as part of the job — you're not left with deteriorated duct in your attic. The new runs are sealed at the joints, and we verify airflow at the vents before we finish.
